Each of BATIQUAL's 'batik cap' sarongs are printed by hand on diaphanous cotton voile, using a traditional copper stamp called a 'cap' and natural dye made from indigo leaves.
This BATIQUAL sarong is the lightest and sheerest of our sarongs, giving it a flowing filmy look when worn long or as a scarf, but able to easily fold over and tie as a short skirt or wrap as a top.
Our batik artisans make the dye from scratch, boiling and grinding indigo leaves into a paste to create the different intensity of blue hues.
Ethically made in the archipelago of Indonesia.
Designed in Australia.
